Here are release dates for the new books!

Yay! I finally have a release date for the upcoming New Canton Republic book and Matthew’s Chance.

I don’t like to commit until I can count on everything to be ready, so putting this in writing is making me really excited!

The New Canton Republic book should be available by 8/26 8/28 (sorry! I had to fix that), while Matthew’s Chance should be available by 9/18 9/23.

Yeah, I know it’s strange, but I still have to come up with a title for the New Canton book. Getting a little close to the wire here. :D

I already have ideas for the next books, so I’m really hoping you like these books so I can write those! Then again, I’ll probably write them anyway because I like the worlds so much. I can’t really control the stories I feel compelled to tell. ;)

Release dates coming for new Wolves’ Heat and New Canton Republic books

By the end of next week I should have release dates for the upcoming New Canton Republic and Wolves’ Heat books, and it looks to be August and September just as I’d hoped.

I’m so excited about these books! I’ve loved revisiting the New Canton Republic. I enjoy that world almost too much for words and I have a lot of fun letting my sense of humor run free. I can already say this is not going to be the last book in that world if I can help it. I still have to come up with a title, though, and that’s kind of odd for me since I often have titles before I write the first word of a particular story.

Matthew’s Chance has been so much fun to write for entirely different reasons. With the Wolves’ Heat books, the story takes me where it will, and Matthew probably doesn’t like me much right about now after what I’ve been putting him through. ;)

I’ve delayed the new Hend and Yurt book, The King’s Gambit, but it’s still in the works for a release later this year.

And that’s my update. Feel free to comment if you have questions or… whatever!

New Paperback Release of Brendan’s Fate

A trade sized print edition of Brendan’s Fate (Wolves’ Heat #3) is finally available at Amazon.comBarnes & Noble and through many other bookstores!

Brendan’s Fate paperback proof is on its way

I’m excited! Brendan’s Fate is going to be available in paperback soon. :) The size of the book meant the price had to be a little higher than my other books, and that makes me sad, but I didn’t want to the book to be a different size than the others in the series (5″ x 8″), so that means the book is 400+ pages long. Relative to my other books, Brendan’s Fate is one fat book! Wow. I really didn’t expect that.

Once I have the proof and approve it, the book will be available for anyone who wants a copy in print.

Also, the first six volumes of the R’H’ani Chronicles will have a paperback soon, as will The Queen’s Lover novelette.

I’m a collector of books. Even though I often buy ebooks, I have a huge collection of paperback and hardcover books. I love reading stories and collecting the ones I love most, so it’s always been important to me to make sure my books are in print.

I’m sorry it’s taken so long for Brendan’s Fate to arrive in paperback, but it won’t be long now. :)

Would you like more frequent updates about my upcoming releases?

I’ve been thinking about whether or not you might want to be kept more up to date on how far along I am with my upcoming and planned releases. I haven’t been able to decide if I should, but a few minutes ago it occurred to me that I could just ask!

So I’m asking.

Would you like more frequent updates about the status of my upcoming books? Possibly even a progress meter of some kind for what I’m working on?

I’ve hesitated to do anything like that, because I didn’t know if anyone would be interested in that kind of thing. However, I know I’m not the best at keeping you updated on where things stand with my upcoming books, and it might be something you’d like to see.

Just comment and let me know, or email me at my email address. I’d love to hear your thoughts on the idea.

One of Many (R’H’ani Chronicles #5) is Available!

One of Many - Odessa LynneOne of Many is the latest volume of the R’H’ani Chronicles, and it’s finally available. :) This installment has been a long time coming and I’m so glad to have finally been able to revisit the world of New United R’H’ani!

Read on for the description.

In ONE OF MANY, the fifth volume of the R’H’ani Chronicles, Arlen knows he isn’t quite like the rest of the men in Sa’Marckale’s harem: body too soft, hair too red, skin too freckled. He’s never been a favorite, but he’s been perfectly happy with his status as one of many, even if it isn’t exactly the life he’d planned for himself. Then Stefyn starts acting strangely around Arlen and he has no idea how to react to the unexpected attention from one of Sa’Marckale’s favorites, or what it might mean…

Enjoy this hot new tale of harem life set in the capital city of R’H’ani, where employment inside Sa’Marckale’s harem is the most enjoyable way to earn a better life!

This story contains explicit sex and graphic language that some people might find offensive. Male/Male Sexual Content. Erotic romance for anyone who likes hot male/male loving in a science fiction/fantasy setting!

ONE OF MANY is the 5th story in The R’H’ani Chronicles and is approximately 11,200 words.

I adore Arlen, and if you decide to give the story a try, I sincerely hope you love him as much as I do!

The companion story to this one is His Only One and it should be available in a few weeks.

UPDATE: Fixed the title where I referred to this as #6. I have no idea how I messed that up. :)

R’H’ani Chronicles #5 is almost ready

It’s turned out to be a story I really love! And like with the last stories in the R’H’ani Chronicles, it’s a complete story that’s also the first part of two tightly connected stories. (Like the Nyk/Ralen stories and the Mareck/Garym stories.)

Arlen is a red-headed freckle-faced young man with his own reasons for being in Sa’Marckale’s harem, and he’s just lovely! I’m not going to spoil the story by naming the other characters, but you’ll see plenty of familiar names from the previous four stories and some new ones besides.

There’s also a continuing story developing that can be traced back to #2. I’m really looking forward to writing the future stories in this universe! I’ve planned for at least 10-12 but I can easily see myself writing these stories indefinitely.

I won’t change the style, though, so you can always be assured there won’t be any major cliffhangers. I like having each story stand as a complete tale. (Although I personally think they’re much better if you read them all and in order! And I make no promises that the continuing story won’t have some minor cliffhangers in there!)

Now I just need a title for this one and I’ll be set. :D

Wolves’ Heat and the Central United States Earthquake Threat

If you’ve read my Wolves’ Heat series, you know that the stories occur on Earth but in the future, and because geology is never static, I had made the decision that sometime about thirty years before Ian’s birth (Ian’s Choice), there’d been a massive earthquake in the central United States. I referred to this quake in all three books of the series. Some of the aftereffects of that quake even come into play quite dramatically in the latest book, Brendan’s Fate.

Well, this bit of news came up in my reader today and I thought about my decision and felt a little thrill at the thought that I had chosen to include that as part of the history of my world.

A debate has swirled in recent years, fueled in part by past studies suggesting that continuing New Madrid seismic activity could be the tail end of a long-lived aftershock sequence following the 1811-1812 earthquakes. If modern activity is an aftershock sequence, the argument goes, then there is no evidence that stress is currently building in the zone. Instead, Page and Hough conclude that the current level of activity must be the signature of active, ongoing processes that continue to generate stress in the region –stress that we expect will eventually be released in future large earthquakes. In other words, the New Madrid Seismic Zone is not dead.

I bolded the part that I found most fascinating. Anyway, just thought I’d share because it seemed so interesting to me!
