What’s Next? An Update

I wasn’t sure when I started Mason’s Regret if it would be the next book I ended up finishing because I’m really bad about working on more than one book at a time (or good, however you look at it!), but I can say pretty confidently now that it is the one that’ll be next.

I’ve been having a lot of fun with it, and I can say this: it has not gone exactly how I thought it’d go because Mason has been AWESOME. :D Maybe I shouldn’t say that about my own character, but if you expect objectivity from me about my guys, you’re dreaming. ;)

I can’t wait to share this book when it’s done. :D

I can’t make promises about a delivery date but what I said in my last post still holds true. I’m really thinking it might be ready in just another month or so.

Then, it’ll be on to Of Love and Zembores and Taken with Tony. It’ll be a competition to see which one gets done first, for sure. The King’s Deception can’t be left out, but I’ll be honest, it’s going really slowly for me for reasons I can’t quite nail down.

And I’m definitely going to get to more R’H’ani Chronicles stories. I have Mateo’s story, One to Tame, in the works right now, but it’s also going really slowly for reasons I haven’t figured out.

I gotta admit, I’m a mood writer. If I’m not in the right headspace for a story, I find it really difficult to get going on it. On the flip side, if I’m there, a book can go really fast (for me). (Let’s face it, fast for me is still pretty slow.)

Anyway, I hope this update is helpful. I don’t know if anyone really wants to know these things or not, but I love to talk about my books, so there. :D

Still Writing!

Just in case anyone is wondering, yes, I’m still writing! :)

I’m working on Mason’s Regret, which I’m pretty sure is going to be the next novel I finish, and Taken with Tony is coming along. Of Love and Zembores is waiting on my brain to settle and for me to finish that next pen name book I started last year. ;) But summer is coming and I’m feeling productive so I can say pretty confidently that Mason’s Regret will be ready in a few more months at the outside and sooner if things keep going well. :D I’m also holding off on a few other stories because I just can’t work on all of them at once no matter how much I want to.

Gerald’s Lot, Of Monsters and Love, and Gay for Alex Is Now in Paperback

The paperback edition of Gerald’s Lot (Wolves’ Heat) is finally available! :)

Amazon | Amazon UK | Amazon CA

It should be available at the other online bookstores like Barnes & Noble, Books a Million, and Book Depository in the next few weeks, if it’s not already (sometimes it just takes longer to show up at those stores). :)

Of Monsters and Love (New Canton Republic) is also now in paperback.

Amazon | Amazon UK | Amazon CA

And Gay for Alex (Love Is) has made a particularly pretty paperback too, in my opinion. ;)

Amazon | Barnes & Noble | Amazon UK | Amazon CA

The reissues of The King’s Guard and The King’s Gambit (Hend & Yurt) are also available with their pretty, new covers.

Whew! Now I can go back to concentrating on all the books I’m trying to write. :D Mason’s Regret is surprising me in a very pleasant way, while Taken with Tony and The King’s Deception are coming along nicely. :) The only story giving me trouble right now is One to Tame! Brylan isn’t as tractable as I’d like, that’s for sure. Which also surprised me in His to Keep, because he seemed so easy going at first and then he just didn’t turn out that way at all!

There are a few other wips I have going too, but they have no names and aren’t connected to any of my ongoing series. One is in-space science fiction (male/male of course) and the other is a time travel/ghost story (also male/male of course!) ;) I’m also working a bit on my Lynne Sterley stuff, because I really do want to get to Boston’s story and I can’t do that if I don’t get the other books written first.

All in all, I’m having a busy time of it, but I am loving every minute I get to spend with the guys in my books. ;)

Paperbacks Coming Soon

I have trade paperbacks for several books coming soon. :)

I’m really excited to see how the new covers look on the Hend & Yurt paperbacks. So far I’m very happy with them. I think they’re the ones I’m most looking forward to holding just because I think they’re so pretty! :)

Gerald’s Lot Is Available!

The next book of the Wolves’ Heat series is here!

At the moment, the book is live on Google Play and Smashwords but I’m hoping it’ll be live on Amazon soon! (It seems to be live now.)

For the most up to date links, see the page for Gerald’s Lot.

In the meantime, here’s a little about the book.

All he wants is his freedom. But that’s not what’s on offer…

For three years, Gerald has used his connections to gather intelligence on the powerful alien species humans call “wolves”—all in an effort to do his part to return order to the world after the destruction caused by the events of the first wolves’ heat.

Now he’s been caught—and there’s only one way to earn forgiveness for his crimes and save the treaty between his people and the technologically superior wolves: Submit and let one of them claim him as a mate.

It’s a hell of a blow when all he wants is his freedom. He just has to hope the wolf who claims him will be reasonable about letting him go after heat season. Anything else and he can kiss his freedom goodbye for good.

Of course, now he’s just tempting fate…

Today Is Gerald’s Lot! It Should Be Live by Tonight :)

Just for anyone checking, here’s an update! Gerald’s Lot comes out today. It should be live by tonight. As usual, I’ll post links when I have them and will update the site right away.

Also, a little update on release dates for the future. I have absolutely no ability to guarantee release dates for any of my books, so I’m not doing any more of them. :) This will be the last book where I’ve posted a possible release date. In the future, they’ll just come out when they’re ready because the only thing I can guarantee is that I’ll keep writing because it’s what I do. :) I hope that’s acceptable, and if not, I’m very sorry but I’m not changing my mind. This has been the most stressful few months of my life trying to get promised books out on promised dates! I just don’t work that way.

Update: Gerald’s Lot Will Be Coming 13th Instead of 8th

Sorry about the change up (really, really sorry!), but Gerald’s Lot will be coming the 13th instead of the 8th this month. Something’s come up that’s made it impossible for me to get the book out this week so I’ve picked the very next Monday, the 13th, for the revised release date.

I’ve only had to change an official release date for a book one other time as far as I can remember, but I’m going to have to do it.

I hope it’s not too much of an inconvenience and I’ll be back to post book info soon. :)

Also, for some reason WordPress has decided not to send me email notices for comments anymore, so I’m sorry it took so long to approve the comments on the last post! I have no idea what that’s about but hopefully it will get fixed soon.

Release Date for Gerald’s Lot! February 8

I can finally give a release date for Gerald’s Lot. It’s later than I’d hoped but I’m erring on the side of caution!

February 8, 2017

This one’s been a bit wild for me, taking a lot longer than usual for me to write. But it’s also been fun and I have to say it: I love Gerald. When you finally get to read his story, I hope you will too.

I can’t help but fall a bit in love with these guys every time I write a story. :)

I’m about to start on the next Wolves’ Heat book already and I’m actually very excited about that! It’ll be nice not to have such a long delay between this one and the next for anyone still following the series after such a long wait for Gerald’s Lot! :)

When Is Gerald’s Lot Coming?

So when is Gerald’s Lot coming? January 2017. I’d hoped for December but it’s just not going to happen unless there’s some kind of Christmas miracle around here, so I’m sorry about that!

However, barring some kind of true disaster, Gerald’s Lot will definitely be a January release, so there’s that!

As soon as the cover is ready and I have an official January release date, I’ll post them. :)
