No Better Offer (R’H’ani Chronicles #12) is published! A novella!

No Better Offer book coverNo Better Offer is the twelfth story in the R’H’ani Chronicles series and it turned out a lot longer than I planned when I started writing it.

Instead of being a novelette (a longish short story) it’s as long as my short novel (aka novella) The King’s Guard. :) If you haven’t read that one and can’t compare, it’s about twice as long as the last R’H’ani Chronicles story, One to Tame.

It’s showing up in all the usual places, but for the most up to date list of links, visit the book’s page. :)

Here’s a little about the story that took over my life for just a little while this summer. :D

About No Better Offer

Stenyl is miserable in his new job in the harem of a wealthy R’H’ani bureaucrat, but it was the best he could get after being fired from his last for breaking the rules. When he gets a better offer, he knows he should accept. Only the better offer might not be the one he wants…

Spencyr is the reason Stenyl was fired without cause and forced to take a job he hates—so why does his heart still beat faster every time the gray man gets near?

Then there’s Neese, Stenyl’s handsome co-worker who claims not only not to be gay but to have never performed with another man, and who has made Stenyl an outcast in the harem. Neese is a liar, and Stenyl means to prove it.

If only Spencyr were a little more forthcoming about his own desires, and Neese wasn’t so infuriating—and so pretty…

Check out all the details on the page for No Better Offer, where you’ll also find the usual links.

There’s a lot of story in this one, and I happen to really love the guys in it so if you pick up a copy, I really hope you enjoy it! :D

No Better Offer stands alone the way most of the stories in this series do, so you can read it without fear of a big cliffhanger to frustrate you! That said, the next one in the series is close to being ready, so you can expect to see Stenyl again soon. ;-)

On that note, Yestrille’s got a story coming up back in Ani’Hain, and I have titles for the next several R’H’ani Chronicles stories, because I really got on a roll with these. :D

#13 – A Fair Trade
#14 – Two to Cherish
#15 – Anything He Asks
#16 – Never Enough
#17 – Only for Him

Barring disaster, they’ll all be coming out this year. :)

If I change the order before publishing, you’ll be able to find the official order on the main R’H’ani Chronicles page.

What I’m working on—July 2019

First, if you missed it, Will’s Hope is out! It’s the latest Wolves’ Heat book and it’s one long damn book. :D If you didn’t miss it and you picked up a copy, thank you so much! I really hope you liked it as much I do, despite how crazy long it is. :)

Also, the 11th R’H’ani story came out in June, One to Tame, just in case you missed that one! This is a series that’s just moving right along. I love the stories and doubt I’ll ever stop writing them. It’s a series of hot, hot, hot romance set in a world that doesn’t really do monogamy so the guys get to play around a lot in ways they wouldn’t in a different world. :-)

I think I’ve said before that I do usually work on more than one story at a time. It’s just the way my creative process works. When one thing needs mulling time, I move on to another for a while. At the moment, I’m working on the next two R’H’ani Chronicles stories, volumes 12 & 13 while Of Relations and Ships rests for a bit. That book is still probably going to be my next novel release. It’s much closer to being finished than anything else I have.

As for the R’H’ani stories, one of those stories has a title and the other doesn’t. The funny thing is that the title for the 13th story was supposed to be the title for the 12th, but it just didn’t feel right to me, and then as I was writing on the 13th, I realized that was the story that title went with. So the 12th story remains untitled at this point. I just haven’t come up with anything that fits it yet, so I can’t really talk about it by name. But both stories are really close to finished at this point, and I’m hoping they’ll be out by the end of the month. So yay for that!

The next Wolves’ Heat book is fluttering around in my brain, and I’m thinking I might be able to get it written within a six month window of the release of Will’s Hope. Maybe. Assuming it doesn’t turn into a ridiculously long book like Will’s Hope did. :D

I much prefer to write shorter, but I always let the story decide for me what length it needs.

One big project I’ve been tinkering with is a set of maps for the New Canton Republic, Hend & Yurt, and Wolves’ Heat books. This is a project that’s probably going to take a good long while to come to fruition but I’m pretty set on the idea. I love maps. And of course they’ll be going in the front of the books, if this happens.

Finally, unless something happens to derail my plans, I will be releasing The King’s Deception and Taken with Tony in 2019. Not sure when, yet, but I’m working on them and I am feeling confident that I’ll get them finished up this year.

The Next R’H’ani Chronicles Story, One to Tame, Released Today!

It’s an exciting return to Ani’Hain in the next R’H’ani Chronicles story, One to Tame! One to Tame book cover

In this follow-up tale to His to Keep, the R’H’ani Chronicles returns to Ani’Hain, where the people of another land have their own rules for love…

Mateo thought Brylan was adjusting well to his new life after being rescued from the corrupt harems of R’H’ani.

Then he discovered Brylan making plans to run away…

Enjoy this exciting new story in the R’H’ani Chronicles that takes us back across the Great Ani Ocean to Ani’Hain!

One to Tame is the eleventh story in The R’H’ani Chronicles. Although the series is best experienced in order, this story can be read as a stand-alone story.

That said, it’s going to make a lot more sense if you’ve at least read His to Keep, since this is Mateo’s story!

Novelette length.

In fact, this is the longest story in the series to date. :-)

If you haven’t tried the series yet, the following Smashwords coupon will get you a full 50% off the R’H’ani Chronicles Collection 1, Volumes 1–6.

Code: EQ63A

Expires on: June 30, 2019

You have to use the coupon code to get the discount!

Link: The R’H’ani Chronicles Collection 1, Volumes 1–6 at Smashwords.

If you decide to use the coupon, you’ll pay less for the entire collection of the first six stories than you’d pay for the first two stories alone buying them individually!

And if you do, thank you so much!

The truth is, I love the guys of The R’H’ani Chronicles. And I really want people other than me to enjoy reading these stories so I’m hoping a few of you will make use of the coupon. The first collection makes up an entire novel’s worth of reading and it’s sexy and fun and a little naughty too. There’s not a lot of room for monogamy in this world, and amazingly enough, none of the guys seem to mind. ;-)

The coupon expires in just a couple of weeks so don’t wait too long to use it!

At half off, the collection is the best way to get the first six stories in the series, by a significant margin. :D

Upcoming Books and Other News

Some of this post is from my last email notification (the one for Will’s Hope) about upcoming books, expanded for the blog here.

In case you missed it, a while ago I released Of Love and Zembores, the sixth New Canton Republic book, and Gay for Alex, a contemporary story and the first of the Love Is series that’ll continue with Taken With Tony, which I have been working on.

Currently, I’m working hardest on Of Relations and Ships, the next New Canton Republic book! I’m loving it, and I can’t wait to share it! I don’t think it’s a spoiler to say this is Blane’s story and he is so, so much fun. (Blane is Carlton’s younger brother from Of Mates and Barters.)

I haven’t forgotten about The King’s Deception, but it’s taking a while. It’s got mystery and humor and lots of fun, hot sex, and if you haven’t tried the Hend & Yurt series, The King’s Gambit is a favorite of mine. :D A little intrigue, lots of romance, fun characters, and magic! It’s also a full novel. Don’t let Leon’s marriage of convenience with Ithera scare you off this series! This is a lighthearted romance fantasy series and the “King” books are Leon’s and Geran’s story.

There will be other books for other pairings in this series, for sure. The King’s Deception is going to be followed by The Mage’s Mark which is a story for Prince Yohan. I won’t spoil it by saying anything else but I am desperate to write this book! I just wish I had more time. There’s never enough. :-)

One to Tame is just about ready and that leaves only one more novelette in the R’H’ani Chronicles before the second R’H’ani Chronicles collection comes out. I don’t know if anyone’s waiting for that, but I have plans to offer a coupon for a big discount on the first collection at Smashwords when I release One to Tame.

I’m happy to say I’ve been writing a lot lately and feeling the love for all my characters and stories again after a rough patch or three the last couple of years. Expect releases to pick up a bit as I finally get some of these stories I’ve been working on for what feels like forever completed. :D (Fingers crossed!)

I don’t mind questions or comments about how I’m progressing on any particular project. I do still work on more than one book at a time in almost all cases. :-)

What’s coming next, in no particular order:

The King’s Deception
Of Relations and Ships
Taken with Tony
One to Tame
The Mage’s Mark
Werewolf at the Gate & Bet on Marriage (these are for my Lynne Sterley pen name, and there’s an active coupon for the first two books in that series at 50% off on Smashwords that expires June 30)

I have two different stories begging me to tell them as the next Wolves’ Heat book, but I’m giving myself a little time on that decision. Will’s Hope was a bit of an epic for me and I definitely want to finish a couple of other things before I dig into those.

A few other projects are in the works, too, but all I have are tentative working titles and sometimes things don’t come together so I’ll just skip mentioning anything else right now. If they develop further, they’ll get mentioned eventually.

New Release! Will’s Hope

Whew! It’s so nice to announce that Will’s Hope is available! It went live yesterday, and I’m really hoping I’m not the only one who loves this one. :)

Will's Hope bookcover

Here’s the description!

Will knows who he is, even if he doesn’t remember how or why he ended up on the run with one of the aliens everybody calls “wolves.”

He knows the wolves were welcomed to Earth with few reservations and shared technology and knowledge freely—until their first heat season revealed the dark truth about their attraction to human scent, triggering uncontrolled sexual aggression and violence, and changing the world as he knew it forever. He knows the wolves rule the American Protectorate, a place where they roam freely and claim humans for mates.

Will knows he has a past—and he knows something’s wrong, that his life isn’t what it should be—but he has no way to know that his past is about to come for him, and it’s going to be a fight to the death for his soul…

Book 9 in the Wolves’ Heat series.

These books really are best read as a series, in order, but they are stand alone stories if you don’t mind figuring things out from context. :D

For good or ill, this is my longest book ever! Whew. I don’t even know what happened, but that’s just what the story took. :D I loved writing this book, and I love the result. I hope you like it. I can’t say I’ll be writing anything this long again, but I can’t say I won’t either, because I write what needs to be written and that’s just the way it happens for me. :D

Lots of explicit sex and language in this book, and men that give as good as they get! :D

If you pick up a copy of this book, thank you so much! And thank you for taking the time to read my stories! I love sharing them with you.

Will’s Hope Is Published!

Book 9 in the Wolves’ Heat series is available now!

Will's Hope bookcover

Just waiting on the book to go live in all the usual places. Since I need some sleep, I’ll update with links after I do that if they’re available. :) (Best place for the links is the Will’s Hope book page.)

Amazon | Apple | Barnes & Noble | Google Play | Kobo | Smashwords | Amazon.co.uk | Amazon.ca | Amazon.com.au

Description is on the Will’s Hope page and I’ll update here when I have the chance tomorrow (today).

Thanks for your patience with me and my release day issues!

Everything in the world happened to delay me today and I finally, finally got the book up at like 1am at Amazon. Which is technically the next day. But since it’s 4 am now and I haven’t gone to bed yet, it still feels like yesterday to me.

So. I have officially learned my lesson. No more release dates for me. (That is a promise!) (Oops. I didn’t realize this sounded so sinister. All I meant is I’m going to be way more careful not to mention possible publish dates in the future so I don’t disappoint anyone if things aren’t done in time. That’s what I get for writing this at 4 in the morning.) :-)

On that note, I think this could be a great way to help make sure I don’t burn out. Eliminate the stress points (because oh my god, deadlines stress me the hell out) so I can enjoy the rest of it more. :)

If there are any problems with the book going live, I’m sorry to say that it’ll be a while before I can deal with it, because I really, really think I should try to go to sleep before daybreak. Once daybreak hits, there’ll be no way I’ll get any sleep at all. I’ll update this post when I have links or news or something. (I admit, the book seems like it’s taking longer than I remember the last taking to go live so… yeah. Worried!)

Official Release Date for Will’s Hope is May 13 (*Updated*)

Updated!! I had to move the release date for Will’s Hope to after the weekend instead of before, but there shouldn’t be any further delays. That makes the updated official release date Monday, May 13, 2019.

I’m sorry for the delay, but I hope the wait is worth it!

Will’s Hope is the next book in the Wolves’ Heat series. I really hope you like Will’s story as much as I do! :-)

This is my longest book ever. (So for those of you who like my longer books, this one’s for you. Everyone else, I’m sorry?) I think it’s worth it though because Will’s story is awesome if I say so myself. :D I hope you’re not expecting me to be objective about it, because I never am. I love all these guys!

Will’s Hope Update

The chance of Will’s Hope being a March release has pretty much disappeared. I mean, it’s not impossible, but it’s not likely either. Two health issues this month have put me back, and I’m just going to plan it for April. I’ll post an April release date for the book either at the end of the month or early in April. Thanks for the patience. :-)
